OVERVIEW

Kristen will give a short presentation about Six Rivers, land conservation and the future Turtle Woods Preserve in Troy. The mission of Six Rivers is to conserve, sustain, and connect natural areas, lands, and waters that make the places we live special. Turtle Woods is currently owned by the Troy School District, but will soon be transferred to Six Rivers. Learn about the natural features of this preserve, along with the unique stewardship needs that this property presents.

ABOUT Kristen Myers

Bio Sketch

Myers Kristen Photo1Kristen Myers has an extensive background in trails and greenways management. She most recently served as Trail Manager for the Paint Creek Trailways Commission for the last 15 years.  She specialized in public relations, event planning & coordination, grant writing, website development, and community outreach initiatives.  She provided executive level assistance to an eighteen-member intergovernmental organization and was the staff liaison for five local communities and Oakland County. She produced and implemented two Paint Creek Trail Recreation Master Plans that enhanced grant applications, funding, and project management.
